Here in St. John's, Canada, Mardi Gras happens annually for Halloween!
Costumes are a huge part of the St. John's Mardi Gras, and you'll see some real creative ones. Many folks look forward to Mardi Gras just to see what type of costumes people have created, while others do their best to win some of the $8500 in cash prizes rewarded for the top costumes!
There is plenty to see and do at the St. John's Mardi Gras! Honeymoon Suite will provide entertainment for the evening at the Prince Edward Plaza on George Street.
Tickets are on sale now for $20, and the usual policies are in effect. You get a wrist band which must be worn at all times and there's no re-entry once you leave. There'll be a huge crowd so get there early, and be careful, it's going to be one wild night!
What will you do for a shot at the $5000 first prize? A cheap Wal-Mart costume sure won't cut it!
